Mind in the Moss LLC is a queer-owned small business providing natural garden and landscape care in the greater Olympia area. We believe gardens exist to connect us with nature comfortably and mindfully, and that part of their beauty is the practice of care put into them. A garden should bring you a sense of tranquility, while accommodating your everyday needs!

Pruning from the Inside Out

Shaping, layering, thinning, and size maintenance for garden trees and shrubs to allow the space to breathe and let the light through. Our approach is flexible according to your needs, from regular seasonal care to highly stylized pruning following Japanese gardening and bonsai techniques.

Overgrowth Management

Identifying, resuscitating, and accentuating existing garden designs, no matter how overgrown. Pathways and feature plants are re-revealed to make your garden accessible again.

Planning and Planting

With a changing climate, it’s more important than ever to plant native! We offer consultations on PNW native and water-wise plant recommendations, installation, and care— including accommodating our deer friends. Our local pollinators, wildlife, and your water bill will thank you.

Natural Weed Management
